I learned about Istanbulite Travel Agency by conducting a Google search for birdwatching tours in Istanbul. We are no professional birders, but love birds. From the beginning, the tour coordinators were very professional, responsive, polite, and helpful. Our full-day private birdwatching tour included visiting the Belgrad Forest, and driving to the Black Sea coast, Garipçe and Rumeli Feneri. On the day of the tour, we were picked up punctually at our hotel and had the pleasure to have Süreyya as our guide. Unfortunately, our visit to Istanbul did not coincide with any migratory event. However, we fully enjoyed visiting the various locations and identifying a variety of beautiful local birds. Having a professional ornithologist who works in conservation made the experience extraordinary. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and ensured that we got the most out of our tour. Our family enjoyed every aspect of this tour. Eda and Sude did an amazing job with planning my trip to Istanbul.  Even though I've visited before, I had a lot of very specific requests because I am a belly dancer (the attached photo is from my trip).  They were able to help me coordinate both the dance stuff and the tourist stuff, and adjust to unexpected changes in the schedule. My wife and I went to Istanbul for a wedding. We were short of time and asked Istanbulite to organise a private tour as well as organising transport to and from the airport. We have a great tour guide, Gamze, who took us to a variety of sites. I went to Istanbul from 31st May until 5th June 2026. Originally, as a huge fan of the James Bond saga, I wanted to do the Grand Bazaar Rooftop experience. One of my fellow Bond fan recommended me Istanbulite. I contacted them and finally decided to let them organize my entire stay in Istanbul (except the hotel I already booked). One word to describe their organization ? Top-notch! 😍 My stay was just unforgettable. I was picked-up at the airport in a van limousine, going straight to my hotel 😎 The next day, my visits with a personnal guide started and I've to give a special mention to Gamze, my guide, who made my stay unforgettable! We have spent some time in Istanbul previously and had seen the “required” important historical sites along with some others.   But last May we had occasion to be in the city again and wanted a deeper understanding beyond the typical tourist routes.   We were lucky to spend a couple of days with Eda’s lovely friend Guzin, a sophisticated traveler herself who grew up and lives in Istanbul with a deep knowledge of the city and Türkiye.  In addition to seeing areas of Balat and Fener which we had not seen before,  in two days we walked through  Kuzguncuk in Üsküdar, Erenköy in Kadiköy, and Moda on the Asian side along with Arnavutköy, Ortoköy and Bebek in Beşiktas back in Europe.  It was a very rich experience from ducking into a coffee shop in the rain to exploring the Borusan Contemporary Museum. We had a wonderful experience with Istanbulite and would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Istanbul. Our guide, Burcu Tokgoz, was knowledgeable, engaging, and a pleasure to spend time with. She brought the city to life in a way that made each day both fun and meaningful. The itinerary struck a perfect balance between iconic sights and local experiences—from breathtaking views at Galata Tower and Süleymaniye Mosque to the stunning mosaics at Hagia Sophia and Chora Church. We also loved discovering local shops and everyday moments, like wandering the Grand Bazaar and watching the neighborhood cats gather at the sound of kibble. If you are traveling to Turkey any time soon, don't hesitate for a minute to connect with Istanbulite. Eda put together the most wonderful tours for us with literally THE best guide on the planet, Gamze Artaman. (I mean that seriously when I say that. I've traveled the world over and Gamze is the best guide I have EVER had.) From seeing every major sight in town to a private yacht ride on the Bosphorus River to a food tour of the city’s famed Asian side neighborhoods to navigating the maze of the Grand Bazaar, we saw it ALL in just the few days we visited. Gamze was knowledgeable beyond just regurgitating facts. She gave us history and culture and taught us how to order Turkish dishes in restaurants. She tailored our tours on the fly to include things we specifically requested, and gave us suggestions of her own when she got to know our style. We chatted about family and business and by the end of the visit, we just felt like old friends. We would literally go back to Turkey JUST to tour with Gamze again!
